RETURNS & EXCHANGES
Every item is one-of-a-kind vintage with condition fully disclosed — please review all photos, measurements, and descriptions carefully before purchasing. Because each piece is pre-owned and unique, we don't offer standard returns. However, we'll always work with you if:

• Item was misrepresented — exchange or store credit; we cover return shipping.
• Wrong item shipped / missing item — correct item sent or replacement/store credit/refund at our discretion.
• Item damaged in transit — we'll work with the carrier; parcel insurance recommended at checkout.
• Change of mind — exchange or store credit considered; return shipping at your cost; item must be unworn and in original condition.

---
In all cases: email us with photos within 48 hours of delivery. Full details in our Returns & Refund Policy.

AUTHENTICITY & CONDITION
Every piece at Pieces of Jake is personally sourced and inspected before listing. Our collection is primarily authentic vintage, with occasional contemporary pieces selected for their quality, character, or alignment with the aesthetics and eras we celebrate — future classics worth owning now.

Each item is graded as Excellent or Very Good. Any marks, fading, or signs of wear are noted in the product description as part of the piece's vintage provenance — not flaws, but evidence of a life well lived. These details are always photographed, so we encourage you to study the images closely: they're the most honest description we can offer.

CARE INSTRUCTIONS
We recommend cold machine wash or hand wash for most items. Check the original care label if present. Air dry flat where possible or use a structured hanger to preserve shape and prevent shrinkage. Wash graphic tees inside out to protect prints. When in doubt, visit a dry cleaner familiar with vintage garments.

WHY BUY VINTAGE?
Buying vintage is one of the most sustainable choices you can make — every piece is diverted from landfill and given a second life. Beyond sustainability, vintage offers genuine character, rarity, and story that modern fashion rarely can. At Pieces of Jake, we believe in buying fewer, better things: pieces that last, mean something, and work harder in your wardrobe.

Vintage sizing can differ significantly from modern sizing standards. We recommend measuring a similar garment you already own and comparing it to the measurements listed in each product description. Key measurements to check: width (pit-to-pit), length (neck/collar to waist/hem), and sleeve length for tops; waist, thigh, ankle cuff and inseam for bottoms. When in doubt, size up — vintage pieces can often be tailored down. If you have specific sizing questions about an item, feel free to reach out before purchasing.
