Collection: Grunge & Skate

Flannel, ripped denim, band tees, and beat-up Vans — the raw, unfiltered aesthetic where 90s Pacific Northwest grunge and skate culture collide. Distressed leather, plaid everything, oversized hoodies, and pieces with the kind of wear that comes from actually using them. Two subcultures, one wardrobe — inseparable by design.

Grunge and skate culture were never that far apart — both anti-establishment, both rooted in DIY, both wearing the same brands. Our Grunge & Skate collection brings together authentic vintage band tees from the 90s and Y2K era, ripped jeans and distressed denim jackets, flannel shirts in every plaid weight and colour, leather jackets and skirts with real wear and character, and sneakers — Vans and Converse — that carry the scuffs of actual use. On the skate side: graphic tees, oversized hoodies, cargo pants, and the kind of relaxed, functional fits that were built for movement and ended up defining a generation of street style. Brands that built the culture from the ground up, pieces that hold up decades later. This is the aesthetic that came out of Seattle and the skate parks simultaneously: layered, undone, deliberately rough around the edges. Every item is hand-selected for its era authenticity, condition, and cultural weight. Shop vintage grunge and skate clothing at Pieces of Jake — authentic 90s and Y2K pieces, curated for the real thing.
